The 4th Sunday of Advent
The last stage of our preparations in Advent: recognizing God’s plan, believing in God’s plan, says yes to God’s plan. We have to say yes to God’s plan even when we do not understand what and why is happening. Be it suffering, sickness, the death of our beloved ones, God is always caring for us. On the 4th Sunday of Advent let us discover that God is concretely present in our lives, and just like the Blessed Mother of God, let us answer with a YES. The dialogue with the archangel, during the Annunciation, was ended by Mary thus: “››Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. ‹‹ And the angel departed from her” (Lk 1:38). By saying yes to the Lord, the Virgin Mother said yes to Life. She said yes to our life.

Învierea lui Cristos este centrul credinței noastre și izvorul speranței noastre. Nu este doar un eveniment din trecut, ci un act mântuitor al lui Dumnezeu, care ne-a deschis calea către viața nouă. Prin ea, istoria omenirii a primit o direcție nouă. Moartea nu mai este ultimul cuvânt. De aici izvorăște speranța noastră. Ea nu este efemeră și nu este o iluzie, ci o certitudine întemeiată pe fidelitatea lui Dumnezeu.

Anul episcop Márton Áron

Cu 250 de voturi pentru, Camera Deputaților a adoptat, în ziua de 18 februarie 2026, proiectul de lege, care trecuse deja prin Senat, prin care anul 2026 este declarat „Anul episcop Márton Áron”, marcând împlinirea a 130 de ani de la nașterea episcopului. (Sursă: Conferința Episcopilor din România)
