Minden évben megszervezik Petrozsényben Az év embere gálát. Ekkor különböző területekről díjaznak embereket: a politika, a sajtó, a művészet, egyházi, szociális téren kiemelkedő teljesítményt nyújtó és a Zsil völgyét segítő tevékenységért. Február 20-án a petrozsényi polgármesteri hivatal márványtermében ünnepélyes gála keretében többek között Szász János petrozsényi kanonok-plébános kapta az idén az Exlusiv Media Group sajtószervezet díját a Zsil völgyét promováló, valamint spirituális és szociális jellegű tevékenységéért.
