A székesegyház búcsújára, szeptember 29-én, az egyházmegye több helységéből zarándokoltak papok és hívek. A Jakubinyi György érsek és Tamás József segédpüspök vezette búcsús szentmisén Mátyás Károly székelyudvarhelyi főesperes mondott szentbeszédet.
 
 
A liturgia keretében, amely egyben a Papnevelő Intézet évkezdő Veni Sancte-ja, letette a hitvallást Korom Imre, a Papnevelő Intézet új rektora és Farkas László, a Gróf Mailáth Gusztáv Károly Gimnázium új spirituálisa.
 
 
Szent Mihály ünnepe Isten szolgája, Márton Áron püspök halálának évfordulója is. A szentmise után ünnepélyes lucernárium keretében emlékeztek meg a 35 éve elhunyt nagy püspökről a székesegyház kriptájában található sírjánál.
