Advent második vasárnapja az útkészítésre szólít fel. A "minden ember meglátja az Isten üdvösségét" ígéret feltétele, ha egyenes ösvényt és sima utat készítünk Isten felé. A mindennapok szeretet melletti kisebb-nagyobb döntéseinkkel töltjük fel mulasztásaink völgyeit, hordjuk el bűneink halmait. Ebben a nehéz, lehangoló készületben lelkesítő biztos tény számunkra az, hogy Isten velünk együtt munkálkodik, mert annyira akarja, hogy visszatérjünk hozzá.
