A Gyulafehérvári Főszékeskáptalan 2013. november 22-én tartott rendes gyűlésén, a Szabályzat 15. pontja értelmében Ft. Msgr. Szász János pápai káplán, petrozsényi plébános lemondott őrkanonoki tisztségéről. A lemondást köszönetnyilvánítás mellett elfogadtam, azzal a feltétellel, hogy Ft. Msgr. Szász János a továbbiakban is megtartsa a tiszteletbeli kanonoki címet.

A megüresedett őrkanonoki tisztségbe, az eddigi gyakorlathoz híven Ft. Varga Rezső esperest, főegyházmegyei vagyonkezelő urat neveztem ki.
