Bodoni Árpád Tövisen született 1920. szeptember 25-én, középiskolai tanulmányait a gyulafehérvári Római Katolikus Főgimnáziumban, teológiai tanulmányait pedig az akkori zivataros időkben Szatmárnémetiben, Kolozsváron és Zircen végezte. A veszprémi börtönben szentelte pappá 1944. december 10-én Mindszenty József veszprémi püspök (akit a nyilasok letartóztattak). 1945-ben Gelencén kezdte papi szolgálatát, majd 1948-tól Gyergyószentmiklóson lett segédlelkész.  1950-ben Kézdialmásra került, innen kapott lelkipásztori kinevezést Borbándra 1951-ben. 1960 és 1964 között Tövist is ellátta. 1991-ben kapott tb. kanonoki kinevezést. 2001-ben vonult nyugdíjba.  Nyugdíjas éveiben is rendszeresen bejárt Gyulafehérvárra, a kispapok gyóntatója volt.

Temetése 2020. június 28-án, 14 órától a borbándi templomból volt.

Let us therefore embrace, protect and increase the grace and smile of Christ in our hearts. That way we will have a beautiful Christmas!
